   PROGRAMS

Social media can be cumbersome and daunting, but we’re here to help you utilize these free platforms to better market and grow your business. Wisconsin Craft is offering four sessions, you can participate in one or all of them. 

Session 1: The Basics

February 24th, 5-7pm, virtual ONLY

  • Linking Facebook and Instagram

  • The anatomy of your page and feed

  • Posting, Hashtags and Handles (Pictures, reels, stories, there’s A LOT!)

  • Scheduling posts and saving drafts

  • Using the Meta Business Suit

  • Prework: download Facebook, Instagram, and Meta Business Suite, ideally have at least 5 posts made on your account.

Session 2a: Making Reels

March 31st, 12:00 -1:45pm, CVA, Wausau, WI

*Please note this is an in-person ONLY workshop at the Center of Visual Arts in Wausau, WI.*

  • This will be taking place immediately prior to the WI Craft Biennial and Annual Meeting and the CVA in Wausau, WI.

  • Learn about making and editing reels in the Instagram app.

  • Use templates to make a reel.

  • Learn about 3rd party video editing apps.

  • Saving and adding trending audio to increase reach.

  • Prework: Have a working knowledge of the instagram app OR attend Session 1.

Session 2b: Panel Discussion

March 31st, 2-3:30pm, virtual & in-person

*Please note this is both virtual & in-person at the Center of Visual Arts in Wausau, WI.*


Guest Panelists: Cayla Mrnick, Isaac Shue, and Curt Hammerly

  • Hear from 3 other professional artists about how they use social media to build their business.

  • What to do and what to avoid!

  • Prework: NONE. (have a desire to use social media to build your art business)

Session 3: Insights, Analytics and Monetization

April 28th, 5-7pm, virtual ONLY

  • Breaking down the data.

  • What matters to me: likes, comments, shares, saves, etc.

  • What are Monetization and Reels Bonus’?

  • Selling work on Facebook and Instagram

  • Ads

  • Prework: Have Instagram/Facebook accounts with at least 10 posts, 10 reels, and 10 stories

What’s the cost?

  • Individual sessions are $15 each for members and $25 for non-members.

  • A package of all 4 sessions is $50 for members and $70 for non-members.

  • A package of all 3 virtual sessions is $35 for members and $50 for non-members.
