  • Initial pencil drawing of the swirl of the braided sweetgrass, next up inking a drawing using a braid for reference.
  • Drawing on the image to be engraved, onto an ink-toned surface.
  • Burins used to engrave into the end-grain wood block. The Boxwood block is toned with a wash of thinned ink, the image drawn on with Pigma Micron markers. The engraved lines appear white.
  • Engraved type-high boxwood round.
  • "Sweetgrass" Wood engraving print & inked block, with burnisher used to print image.
