    Distinguished Panelists

Char terBeest Kudla / Helen’s Daughters Studio

Char's artisan career started in 1976, as a willow basketmaker. While basketmaking, she authored two books, taught willow basket making workshops at Sievers School of Fiber Arts, Arrowmont School of Crafts, and national basketmaking conventions throughout the country. After 14 years of basket making, she experimented with other media and settled on sitting in front of her old Viking sewing machine, designing and making handbags. Char has experience in fairs, galleries, wholesaling, teaching, shopkeeping, event making, and instigator of the Fall Art Tour. She's definitely a "creative thinker."
