Among the selected pieces were a custom sterling, serpentine and peridot necklace created by Stevens Point silversmith, Joan North. This exhibit features exemplary artwork of all media submitted by artists from across the United States and runs from September 7 to 28. What kind of art comes from the concept of WINDOWS? The Art League of Lincoln, Lincoln, California chose that concept for its most recent nationally juried art exhibit, Windows: A Theme Challenge. This March 21 to April 21 exhibit will include two window-themed jewelry pieces from silversmith Joan North of Stevens Point, WI. North's Stained Glass Pearl necklace suggests a pearl sitting on the other side of a sterling stained glass window. Window to the Future necklace focuses attention on the empty portal in the middle of a sterling frame to suggest that the future can be anything.
